Bridging the "Action Gap"

I think we'd all agree that there is a giant gap in our world today.

The gap to which I'm referring lives between what we know to be true and what we do.

This gap separates what we believe is the right way to live and the way we actually live.

We all know words like "patience," and "kindness," and "generosity," and "compassion," and "love."

They all feel nice to say.

We all would agree that these should be tenets of how ourselves and others should live.

However, when it comes to actually doing something about these words, most of us fall short.

And I know this to be true.

If you were to tell me that we currently have enough patience, kindness, generosity, compassion, and love in the world, I would tell you, "You're crazy."

We believe these are great qualities, but for much of society, that's as far as it goes.

So what do we do?

At the very core of this conundrum lies a word that we often forget.

"Action."

The only way to bridge the gap between knowing what to do and doing it...is doing it.

You have the opportunity to bridge this gap every day through the actions you choose to take (and the actions you choose not to take - something our world could learn more about, don't you agree?).

Every time you take action towards the positive, you leap across what I call the, "Action Gap" and you hopefully empower others through those actions - which works to make the overall gap smaller over time.

Make the decision today to leap across the "Action Gap" and live the way you know is right.

There are more benefits than I'd care to list here. All I can say is you'll be happy you did.
